Ontario Line Transit Project

Project Overview

Estimated Construction Value: CAD$27.0Bn.

The Ontario Line is a 15.6 km rapid transit project running from Exhibition Place through downtown Toronto to the Ontario Science Centre. Designed to ease overcrowding on existing subway lines, the project includes 15 new stations, many offering connections to other transit systems like the TTC, GO Transit, and future LRT lines. It's expected to serve over 388,000 daily riders once complete.

This major investment is a cornerstone of Toronto’s transit expansion. With construction already underway, the project includes advanced tunneling techniques and multiple public-private partnership contracts. Once operational, it will cut commute times, reduce congestion, and support growth in key employment and residential areas. https://www.metrolinx.com/en/projects-and-programs/ontario-line?utm_source=chatgpt.com This project is part of the largest subway expansion in Canadian history, designed to integrate seamlessly with other transit systems, including GO Transit and existing TTC lines.
